What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard that lets AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT connect directly to external services — like your ScentSell account. With ScentSell's MCP server, your AI assistant can read your collection, log wears, and fetch your stats on your behalf.

ScentSell's MCP server is a world-first — the first fragrance-specific MCP server anywhere. No equivalent exists at Fragrantica, Parfumo, or Basenotes.

Plain-English explanation​

Without MCP, if you want to log a wear, you open the ScentSell app, find the fragrance, and tap a few buttons.

With MCP, you just say to your AI assistant:

"I wore Aventus today, 4 sprays, work occasion, hot day"

And your AI — whether that's Claude in Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, or another compatible tool — calls ScentSell's MCP server and logs the wear automatically. No app-switching. No tapping around.
