Buying a fragrance

Ready to buy? Here's everything that happens from tapping "Buy now" to the fragrance arriving at your door.

Step-by-step: buying at the listed price​

  1. Find a listing you want to buy. Tap the listing to open it.
  2. Tap "Buy now" (or "Checkout" if you've already accepted an offer).
  3. You'll be taken to Stripe Checkout. Enter your payment details (card or other supported method).
  4. Complete payment. Stripe processes the transaction and instantly splits the funds — 85% goes to the seller, 15% to ScentSell.
  5. You'll receive a confirmation email with your order details and the seller's contact information.
  6. The seller is notified to pack and ship your order.

What address do I ship to?​

Your shipping address is collected during Stripe Checkout. Make sure it's correct — once an order is placed, the shipping address can't be changed.

Buyer protection​

Every purchase on ScentSell is covered by buyer protection:

  • If the item is significantly not as described, you can raise a dispute.
  • If the item doesn't arrive within a reasonable timeframe, you can raise a dispute.
  • Disputes put the order on hold while our team investigates.
