Bundle Rooms
Bundle Rooms let you ask to buy 2–10 eligible fragrances from one seller in one protected order. Sellers publish tiered savings and combined-postage defaults, then you accept the exact deal before you pay.
This is not a marketplace-wide cart. A bundle is always one seller: one parcel, one accountable sender, one postage. If you tap Add to bundle on another seller's bottle while your tray holds someone else's, it asks whether to keep the current bundle or start a new one with that seller.
How it works
- On an eligible listing, tap Add to bundle (it sits beside Buy now and Make offer). A small tray appears at the bottom of the screen with that bottle in it. The tray follows you while you look at this seller's other bottles; your ticks survive a refresh or a sign-in.
- Tap the tray to open it. It lists what you've chosen, the seller's other eligible bottles with a + next to each, and the total as the database works it out: bottle prices, ScentSell's bundle saving, the seller's combined postage. Add up to 10.
- Pay A$X for N bottles pays that exact total through secure checkout straight away (the bottles are held for you for 30 minutes). Or Ask the seller first if you'd like them to confirm the postage before you pay. Sellers who opened bottles to bundles have agreed to these terms; there is no extra confirmation step.
- If you asked first: the seller confirms the postage (the saving never changes), you review the exact bundle and accept it or leave it, then pay. You can leave a bundle at any point before paying; the seller can decline.
- After paying, your bundle page shows three steps: Paid → Posted → Delivered. The seller sends one tracked parcel; you confirm delivery there. If you closed the Stripe tab mid-payment, the page shows Resume checkout with the minutes left on your hold; you can also leave the bundle and the bottles go straight back on the marketplace. The name and address you type at Stripe checkout are what the seller puts on the parcel. When the seller marks the bundle Posted, every bottle is added to your Cabinet automatically with the price you paid, exactly like a single-bottle purchase.
Pricing and offers
The Bundle Room has its own exact price. Each selected bottle's final price is used first (your accepted offer price if you have one, otherwise the listed price), then ScentSell's 2, 3–5 or 6–10 bottle saving is applied, then the seller's published combined postage is added. When you pay now that is the total you pay; if you ask the seller, they confirm the postage and can only change the postage, never the saving.
Want a different price on one bottle? Make an offer on that listing the normal way (there's an Offer a price link beside each bottle in your bundle). If the seller accepts, that bottle enters your bundle at the accepted price, never above its current list price, and the bundle saving comes off on top. Once the bundle is paid, that bottle is sold and the separate single-bottle checkout closes.
Buyer protection stays on
- Every bottle must still be an active, admin-reviewed listing with the required authenticity evidence.
- A bottle with missing nozzle-off evidence, a safety hold or another live sale commitment cannot enter the bundle.
- The final checkout checks every bottle again before payment.
- One seller ships one tracked parcel. If a bottle cannot safely finalise, the bundle is resolved as a whole — no item quietly disappears from the order.
The saving is set by ScentSell
Every bundle on ScentSell carries the same saving, set by ScentSell and shown on the Bundle Room page before you ask: 5% off 2 bottles, 10% off 3–5 bottles, 15% off 6–10 bottles. It comes off each bottle's final price — if you had an offer accepted on one of the bottles, the saving applies to that accepted price. Every seller agreed to this when they opened their bottles to bundles.
Pay now, or ask the seller
Tick 2–10 bottles and the page shows the subtotal, the ScentSell saving, the seller's combined postage and an estimated total. Pay A$X for N bottles takes you straight to secure checkout at exactly that total (the page asks our database for the same figure checkout will charge, including any accepted offer of yours); the bottles are held for you for 30 minutes while you pay. Ask the seller first sends the same bundle to the seller so they can confirm the postage (or re-quote it with a note) before you pay — use it if the parcel is unusual or you want to talk first.
Postage on a bundle
You pay one combined postage amount for the whole parcel, not postage per bottle. Every seller publishes three bands before any of their bottles can be bundled: one amount for 2 bottles, one for 3–5 bottles, and one for 6–10 bottles (each between A$0 and A$100). They line up with the ScentSell saving tiers, so the Bundle Room page shows you the saving, the postage and an estimated total as you tick bottles, before you buy or ask. Typical starting figures are Australia Post Parcel Post retail: A$16 / A$20 / A$24. If you asked the seller first and they quote something different from their published band, they must add a short note and you see it before you accept. Nothing is charged until you confirm the total in secure checkout.
If a bundle won't start
A message tells you why. The usual ones:
- Choose between 2 and 10 different bottles — the selection is outside that range.
- One of those bottles isn't bundle-eligible any more / is already sold or reserved — refresh and reselect. Another buyer may have bought or reserved it.
- One of those bottles is held in another checkout for a few minutes — a checkout reservation lasts 30 minutes; try again after that.
- This seller hasn't finished payment setup yet — the seller can't be paid, so no bundle can start with them.
- You can't bundle your own listings — you are signed in as the seller.
What you will not see
- A multi-seller cart
- Automatic shipping estimates that overrule the seller
- A checkout total chosen by the buyer
- A way to bundle a bottle the seller has not marked eligible
