Payment methods

ScentSell uses Stripe for all payments. Stripe supports a wide range of payment methods and handles all transaction security.

Accepted payment methods​

At checkout, Stripe supports:

  • Visa and Mastercard (credit and debit)
  • American Express
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay (on supported devices)

PayPal and bank transfers are not supported. All payments must go through Stripe Checkout to ensure buyer and seller protection.

Is my payment information secure?​

Yes. ScentSell never stores your card details. All payment information is handled directly by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security certification.

What happens when I pay?​

When you complete checkout:

  1. Stripe instantly splits the payment. 85% goes to the seller's Stripe Connect account. 15% is retained by ScentSell as commission.
  2. You receive a confirmation email from Stripe with a receipt.
  3. The seller is notified and expected to ship within 3 business days.

All prices are in AUD​

ScentSell is an Australian marketplace. All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD). There are no currency conversion fees.

Refunds​

Refunds are issued through Stripe. If a dispute is resolved in your favour, Stripe reverses the transaction. Refunds typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
