Sell new on ScentSell

Australian houses can sell new full bottles on ScentSell without ScentSell holding the stock.

This join flow is being built. It is not live money yet.

The picture​

  • Collectors browse you on ScentSell and pay ScentSell.
  • You keep the bottles, pack, and post — as you already do.
  • Copy names you: sold by your house, ships from the house.
  • ScentSell’s cut is 20% of the goods price only. Postage you set is passed through to you in full.

Worked example: a $150 bottle with $12 postage. The buyer pays $162. You receive $132 ($120 goods + $12 postage). ScentSell keeps $30.

Samples come first​

Nothing of yours goes on the shop until Justin has your samples in his hands and has worn them. Not a website, not a press kit, not a photo of a bottle—the actual juice.

Send a few samples of what you would want sold. Justin wears them and writes down what he smells. Only then does your house move to joined, and only then can a bottle of yours be listed.

This is enforced in the software, not promised in an email. The join step refuses to record a house as joined, connect-ready or ready to launch until its samples are marked both received and smelled. If the samples never arrive, the join stops there and nothing of yours appears on ScentSell.

What you tick​

You pack and post within 2 business days with tracking. Perfume goes road-legal as you already post it.

If a sale is refunded or disputed, ScentSell may reverse the transfer for that sale from the house’s Stripe balance. Packing problems stay with the parcel. Card disputes hit ScentSell first, then that sale’s transfer is reversed.

Once the samples are done, Justin types the SKUs. You complete Stripe Connect and the terms in the app. Stripe sends you back to /for-brands/portal; the portal refreshes payout status so you do not have to guess whether the bank details took.

In your own copy, say it the way we do: ships from the house. You are named on every bottle, and it is your parcel, your packing, your postage.

After a sale​

Each house posts its own parcel. The House Portal pack queue shows paid orders that have not shipped yet, the items, and the delivery address. Enter tracking when the parcel is lodged. ScentSell does not hold your stock.
