How fees work

ScentSell charges a single commission fee to sellers. Buyers pay no fees beyond the listed price.

For buyers​

No fees. You pay the listed price (plus shipping if applicable). There are no buyer premiums, no booking fees, and no hidden charges. What you see is what you pay.

For sellers​

ScentSell charges 15% commission on every sale. This is automatically deducted at checkout by Stripe — you never need to invoice us or calculate it yourself.

How it works​

When a buyer pays, Stripe instantly splits the payment:

  • 85% goes directly to your Stripe Connect account
  • 15% is retained by ScentSell as the platform commission

For example, if your listing price is $200 AUD:

  • You receive: $170.00 AUD (instantly, at checkout)
  • ScentSell keeps: $30.00 AUD

Does Premium subscription reduce the commission?​

No. The 15% commission rate is the same for all users — free and Premium alike. Premium unlocks collection features and AI tools, not a commission discount.

The commission is priced to cover payment processing (Stripe fees), dispute resolution, and platform maintenance. There are no monthly listing fees — you only pay when you sell.

The Scent Sell Shop is run directly by ScentSell. There is no commission — prices shown are the final prices.

Subscription pricing​

If you subscribe to ScentSell Premium, the monthly or annual subscription fee is a separate charge for collection and AI features. See Premium pricing for details.
