Report a bug

Found something broken? We want to know. Bug reports help us make ScentSell better for everyone.

How to report

Email support@scentsell.com.au with the subject line "Bug report" and include:

  1. What you were trying to do — e.g. "I was trying to add a fragrance to my collection"
  2. What happened — e.g. "The app showed a blank screen after tapping save"
  3. What you expected to happen — e.g. "I expected to see the fragrance in my collection list"
  4. Device and browser — e.g. "iPhone 15, Safari 17" or "Windows 11, Chrome 124"
  5. Screenshot — If possible, attach a screenshot showing the issue
  6. Reproducible? — Does it happen every time or just once?

Common issues with quick fixes

App not loading:

  • Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R)
  • Clear browser cache
  • Try a different browser

Push notifications not arriving:

  • Check your browser notification permissions (see Notifications)
  • Make sure you haven't blocked ScentSell notifications in your OS settings

Payment failing at checkout:

  • Check your card details are entered correctly
  • Try a different card or payment method
  • Contact your bank — some banks block online marketplace payments by default

MCP not connecting:

What happens after you report

We log all bug reports and prioritise by severity and frequency. Critical bugs (payment failures, data loss) are treated as urgent. Cosmetic issues may take longer to address. We don't promise to reply to every bug report, but we do read them all.
