Adding a fragrance by manual search
The quickest way to add a fragrance to your collection is to search our database of 75,000+ fragrances and select the one you own.
What you'll learn
- How to search and add a fragrance manually
- What details you can set
- What happens if the fragrance isn't in the database
Steps
- Go to My Collection → tap + Add fragrance.
- Select Search by name.
- Type the fragrance name or brand. Results appear as you type — select the correct one.
- Set the details for your bottle:
- Item type — Full bottle, decant, sample, or travel spray
- Size (ml) — The total volume when new
- Current fill — Drag the slider or type a percentage
- Condition — Mint, Good, Fair, Heavily Used
- Notes — Any personal notes (where you bought it, what you paid, etc.)
- Tap Save to add it to your collection.
If the fragrance isn't in the database
If your search returns no results, you can add it manually:
- Tap Add manually at the bottom of the search results.
- Enter the fragrance name, brand, concentration, and year.
- Your item is added as a custom entry. It won't have the full fragrance profile (notes, accords) that database entries have, but it works for tracking purposes.
tip
Try searching just the brand name or just the fragrance name if the full name isn't found. Our fuzzy search is tolerant of spelling variations, but unusual names may need simpler queries.
What's a "fill percentage"?
Fill percentage is your estimate of how much liquid remains in the bottle compared to when it was new. A brand new sealed bottle is 100%. A half-full bottle is roughly 50%.
Don't stress about exact accuracy — a rough estimate is fine. The remaining ml calculation will adjust as you log wears.
