Item types
When you add a fragrance to your collection, you choose what type of item it is. This affects how remaining ml is tracked and displayed.
Available types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Full bottle | A standard retail-size fragrance bottle (e.g. 50ml, 100ml EDP) |
| Decant | A portion of a fragrance in a small vial, usually 2–30ml |
| Sample | A very small trial vial, usually 1–2ml, often from a retailer or decanter |
| Travel spray | A refillable travel-size atomiser, typically 5–10ml |
Why does type matter?
The type helps ScentSell calculate spray-per-ml estimates for remaining volume tracking. A full bottle and a decant of the same fragrance behave differently — full bottles have spray nozzles with different spray weights than fine-mist decant atomisers.
It also affects display in your collection — samples are shown differently to full bottles, making it easy to see at a glance what you're working with.
Changing an item's type
You can change the type at any time:
- Open the item in My Collection.
- Tap the edit icon.
- Change the Item type field and save.
