Shared cabinets

Shared cabinets let household partners view each other's fragrance cabinets without mixing up wear logs, ratings, shelves, or SniffBot taste profiles.

Invite a partner​

  1. Open My Collection → Shared with me.
  2. Tap Manage shares.
  3. Invite your partner by email.
  4. Choose what they can view: cabinet, wear logs, shelves, wishlist.

They accept the invite from their own ScentSell account.

View a partner's cabinet​

When someone shares with you, open Shared with me. Their bottles are read-only until you claim or copy them.

Claim one bottle​

Tap Claim to mine on a bottle. ScentSell creates your own cabinet row linked back to theirs. Your wear logs, ratings, shelves, and notes stay separate.

Copy the whole shared cabinet​

Tap Copy cabinet to mine to import every bottle they have shared with you. ScentSell skips bottles you already have and creates independent cabinet rows for the rest.

Copied bottles keep provenance:

  • cloned_from_user_id
  • cloned_from_item_id

But everything personal is yours:

  • ratings
  • wear logs
  • compliments
  • notes
  • shelves
  • wishlist
  • SniffBot taste profile

Why this matters​

Couples and households often share the same physical bottles, but each person has different taste, skin chemistry, contexts, ratings, and compliments. Shared cabinets let you start from the same bottle list without collapsing two people into one profile.
