Offering Bundle Rooms
If you are listing several fragrances, you can mark an individual bottle Open to bundles. Buyers can then ask to include it with 1–9 other eligible bottles from your own listings.
The setting is optional and belongs to each listing. It is not a commitment to accept every request, and it does not make a bottle available to another seller's order.
Turn it on while listing
- In the listing form, open Selling a collection? below Shipping.
- Turn on Open to bundles for the bottles you are comfortable packing together. The first time, the form asks for your three combined-postage bands before the switch unlocks; saving them also records your agreement to ScentSell's bundle saving.
- Submit the listing as usual. It still needs admin review and all required authenticity photos before it can go live.
You can leave a bottle out if it is difficult to pack, already promised elsewhere or simply not something you want to combine with other sales.
Set up a collection quickly
From Dashboard → Manage your listings → Bundle selling, you can save your postage bands once, see the ScentSell saving that applies, select many active listings, and turn bundle availability on together. You can also make new listings open to bundles by default, then change any individual bottle while listing.
The bundle saving is set by ScentSell
When you open any bottle to bundles you agree to ScentSell's bundle savings: 5% off 2 bottles, 10% off 3–5 bottles, 15% off 6–10 bottles, applied to each bottle's final price. "Final price" includes any offer you accept on a bottle — if you accept A$80 on a A$100 bottle and the buyer then bundles it with two others, the 10% comes off the A$80. You see this rule in the listing form and on the Bundle selling card, and a reminder sits next to every Accept-offer button. ScentSell can change the percentages; the current ones always show where you opt in.
Buyers can pay at once
Once your postage is saved, a buyer can add your bottles to their bundle and pay at once at the published terms — ScentSell's saving plus your published postage — with no proposal step. Opening bottles to bundles is your agreement to those terms; there is no second confirmation. You get the Bundle Room and the sale the moment payment clears, then post one tracked parcel. If a buyer would rather ask first, you still get the request and confirm the postage (the saving is fixed).
Postage is set up front, and buyers see it
You cannot open a bottle to bundles until you have saved your combined postage. There are three bands, matching the saving tiers: 2 bottles, 3–5 bottles and 6–10 bottles. Each is one tracked-parcel amount the buyer pays for the whole bundle (A$0–100). The form is pre-filled from Australia Post Parcel Post retail (own packaging, from 1 July 2026): A$16 for up to 1 kg, A$20 for 1–3 kg, A$24 for 3–5 kg. Change them if you pack differently or use MyPost Business rates. Buyers see your bands, your saving tiers and an estimated total while they choose bottles, before they ask you. If you first open a bottle from the listing form, it asks for the three postage figures right there.
When a buyer makes a request
If a buyer chooses Ask the seller first instead of paying now, they've picked 2–10 of your eligible bottles in their bundle tray. Before any payment, ScentSell applies its saving for that many bottles and you confirm:
- one combined tracked-postage amount.
You can also decline the request outright. Once a bundle is paid, the Room, the inbox thread and your "bundle sold" email all show the name and address the buyer gave at checkout (their real name, not their username) so you can address the one parcel. The postage field opens at your published band for that many bottles. If postage differs from your published band, add a short explanation. The buyer sees it before accepting. Changing postage creates a fresh proposal for the buyer to review. The buyer cannot set your shipping or price. Nothing is charged until they accept the exact bundle proposal and complete checkout.
The saving comes off the bottles' final prices: 5% for 2 bottles, 10% for 3–5, 15% for 6–10. Buyers always approve the exact total before Stripe checkout.
Keep it simple for now
Set sensible published bands for the actual parcels you are prepared to pack. You can still explain a genuine exception before the buyer accepts; one clear explanation is better than a headline rate that later changes.
Your normal protections still apply
- Only your own active listings can be in a Bundle Room.
- Each bottle still needs its required authenticity evidence, including the nozzle-off photo.
- You ship one tracked parcel.
- Stripe Connect processes the single buyer payment through ScentSell's secure checkout.
